Sister Nivedita Rath Yathra

On account of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sister Nivedita, a rath yathra was proposed to include 27 districts of Tamilnadu covering 3,000 km in 30 days and reached Puducherry on 8th Feb. ’18.  The Rath arrived at 11.30 am. to the premises of Saradha Gangadharan College and it was welcomed and honoured with Poornakumba by our reverend Director, Prof. Dr. S. Srinivasan, Vice President of Rath Yatra committee. Our respected Principal, Prof. Dr. J. Sukumar, members of the teaching and non-teaching faculty; and the students rendered floral tribute to the statue of Sister Nivedita and her guiding light Swami Vivekananda. The rath departed the college premises by 12.30 pm..  The arrangements had been made by the convenor and the members of Women’s Development Cell.
