Special NSS Camp
The NSS Unit of Saradha Gangadharan College organized a special one week camp from 1st Jan. to 8th Jan. 2018, in a community hall, at Tulukanathamman Nagar, by the Programme Officer, Mr. R. Santhosh Kumar. The objective of the camp is to cultivate humane and leadership qualities among young students by involving them in various activities and awareness programmes. The camp commenced with the inaugural address of the Chief-Guest, Dr. E. Devabalan, the NSS Co-ordinator, Puducherry State. Our reverend Principal, Dr. J. Sukumar, presided over the occasion. Our respected Director Dr.S.Srinivasan, felicitated the Inaugural function.
The various service oriented activities viz. Cleaning, Tree planting, creating awareness by performing Street Play, were executed by the Volunteers. The volunteers were benefitted by lectures delivered by experts of diverse disciplines in the special camp likely Disaster Management Programme, Yoga Practice, visit to Historical places, Time Management, Leadership Quality and enhancement of Competitive Skills.
The camp concluded successfully with the valedictory function. The Chief-Guest, Dr. P. Kolandasamy, State NSS Officer, Puducherry, delivered the valedictory address. Our Vice-Chairman, Shri S. Pazhaniraja and our principal Dr. J.Sukumar, presided over the function. The volunteers were highly benefitted by the camp.
