Training on Survival skills
“Training on Survival Skills” was organized for the first year undergraduate students for 5 days from 17th to 21st Dec. 2018 on the college premises. The most eminent Scholar Dr. M. Doss , Asst. Prof. of English, SGC, Freelance Academic Counselor and Consultant in English Language Teaching, highlighted the importance of Soft skills, Employability skills and Complementary skills in his lecture. The students were exposed to the importance of Soft skills in work-place, Life skills in domestic and non-domestic areas, 21st Century Skills to survive in the ICT World, Complementary Skills to compete in the Competitive world and Career skills including Study skills with day-to-day examples. They were also guided to prepare for competitive examinations. The students interactively took part in the discussion and their reception, response and feedback became evident for its utilitarianism. Our reverend Principal Prof. Dr. J. Sukumar, was the sole reason behind this programme who systematically formulated the schedule. S. Parameshwari, HOD & Asst. Prof. of English co-ordinated and made all arrangements for the awareness programme.
