The B.Com (Professional Accounting) program is a highly specialized undergraduate degree meticulously engineered for students aspiring to secure elite professional credentials such as CA, CMA, ACCA, or CS. Tailored under our autonomous curriculum framework, this program seamlessly integrates advanced financial reporting, direct and indirect taxation, corporate governance, and strategic management directly into the semester workflow. Rigorous academic coursework is paired with practical training in modern accounting technologies—including ERP systems like Tally/SAP, advanced Excel, and data analytics—ensuring graduates possess both the theoretical depth and technical fluency demanded by today's evolving corporate landscape.

Lateral Entry: Candidates who have passed a Diploma in Commerce or Modern Office Practice (3 years programme) awarded by the Directorate of Technical Education of Tamil Nadu or other States shall be admitted to the second year of the B. Com Honours Degree Programme.

Eligibility: Candidates for admission to the first year of the B.Com Honours (PA) Degree shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary examination (+2) of any board or equivalent recognized by Pondicherry University, having Accountancy with Commerce / Business Studies.

Age: Candidates must have completed 16 years and 6 months as on 15th July. Should be below 21 years of age as on 1st July. Age relaxation is applicable to students belonging to the following categories:

• 3 years for physically handicapped, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes
• 5 years for nuns of various religious congregation and widows.

Medium: The medium of instruction shall be English.

Fees: Rs. 28,000/- per semester + one-time payment of Rs. 2,800/- will be collected.
