Saradha Gangadharan College, Puducherry

Certificate and Diploma Courses, with a duration of 2 months to 6 months, being conducted in our college for the benefit of students to secure additional qualifications that can be obtained while doing their University degree courses. These courses are conducted in our college premises after regular college hours either during week days or at weekends.

SGC is associated with the Government of India through Telecommunications Consultant of India Ltd., as well as with the Puducherry Government’s undertaking division of Puducherry E-Governance Society by entering in to an MOU to conduct these Certificate and Diploma Courses.

Some of the courses SGC is currently offering are:

1. Communication Skills

   To enable students to communicate clearly and improve the verbal and non-verbal communication style, as well as to enhance interpersonal skills. To make their communicative ability more accurate and effective.To enable the learners to gain basic English Grammar and conceptual knowledge in the English language.

2. Accounting on Computer With Tally Prime

   The course provides a complete knowledge about Tally. Upon completion the students can work as Tally operators

3. Certificate course in Digital, Financial Literacy and Soft Skills

   Digital Literacy is understanding and navigation of several digital platforms and analyzing their potential as a medium of communication. Financial literacy skills mean having the confidence, knowledge and skills needed to make financial decisions will promote financial self-sufficiency, stability and well-being. This Add-on course explore about the application of digital literacy and financial literacy to enable the use of digital financial services

4. Fundamentals of Export & Import

   To give comprehensive view on export and import policy under regulatory framework.To understand all the important concepts of EX-IM.To understand the Export and Import Documentation Procedures and its nuances in the emerging business environment

5. Probability and Statistics

   To provide students with the foundationsof probabilistic and statistical analysis mostly used in varied applications in engineering andscience like disease modeling, climate prediction and computer networks etc

6. Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

   Nano science and Nanotechnology is a relative young multi-disciplinary field with riveting development and promising potential job creating science. The add on course imparts knowledge of the fundamental concepts to the target community.

7. Retail Management

   This course aims at providing a comprehensive view of retailing and an analysis ofthe retail environment and exposure to issues and developments in the industry

8. Certificate Course in General Aptitude

   To develop an understanding of the basic mathematical, statistical tools and their application inBusiness, Finance and Economics.To develop logical reasoning skills and apply the same in simple problem solving.This course will helpful to the students to get the highest score in the entrance testsconducted by the UPSC, Banking Board, management colleges, public and private sector organizationsand many, many more

9. IoT

   The course gives a comprehensive insight about the principles and practical aspects ofIoT as well as other technology that are embedded with sensors and software. Itencourages the students to gain an understanding about the relevance of IoT inclusively aswell as of the preparations and challenges that lie ahead. The students will understand theimportance and implications of Internet of Things (IoT) in the Artificial Intelligence andMachine Learning and its contribution to the various application developments.

10. Desktop Publishing Tools

    To understand the basic knowledge of Create, edit, and print long documents including supportingpages.To practically learn to design using DTP tools Outcomes. Student will be able to work with editing tools such as Adobe PageMaker, coreldraw andPhotoshop.

11. Digital Communication

    To understand the building blocks of digital communication system.To prepare mathematical background for communication signal analysis.To understand and analyze the signal flow in a digital communication system.Toanalyze error performance of a digital communication system in presence of noise andother interferences. To understand concept of spread spectrum communication system.

12. Certificate Course In Green Computing

    The main objective of this course is to provide students learn thefundamentals of Green Computing. The course will help the student to analyze the Greencomputing Grid Framework. It also enables them to gain knowledge on various casestudies in Green Computing.

13. Certificate Course in Financial Accounting with Tally (CCFAT):
    

    The course provides a comprehensive introduction of business accounting and to acquire skills needed for the computerized accounting, auditing practices taxation etc. The duration of the course is 60 hrs.

14. ICT Finishing school certificate:
    

    The Information and Communication Technology Training Academy (ICTAT) provides this training programme in association with The E- Governess society of Puducherry, a Puducherry governments undertaking, is providing training on soft skill and information and communication technologies for enabling students to develop their employability skills. The duration of the course is 180 hrs.
