Saradha Gangatharan College, Velrampet, Puducherry. The National Cadet Corps, 1(P) Air Sqn NCC Air Wing was formed at our college in 2022. It was started to impart patriotism, discipline, and adventure among the arts and science graduate students, which constitute a valuable asset of our nation, and to promote their responsibilities in nation-building. Our unit is functioning successfully with the full strength of 25 Senior Division (SD) NCC cadets. In this maiden year, our cadets had actively participated in various NCC activities and training programs. The detailed activities for the academic year 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 are submitted here.

NCC parade classes continued to be conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 06.30 am to 08.30 am at our college and on Saturdays from 07.30 am to 09.30 am at our Lawspet NCC Unit. The cadets were provided with refreshments worth of Rs.30.00 for each parade of 50 minutes. During these parade classes, the cadets were trained in Drill and PT. In addition to the regular NCC activities, our cadets were involved in the disciplinary committee of our college sports day, annual day, and graduation day celebrations.

NCC Unit of our college has undertaken various activities regarding community development every year such as:

• 2nd Year F/C KAMESHKUMAR has participated and won the Gold Medal in overall sports in the EBSE-II camp at NTA Idayapatti, Madurai, from January 18, 2024, to January 29, 2024.
• 1st Year F/C ALFRED PAUL has participated and shoot first in three positions in Inter Unit Sport Shooting Competition - 2024 at 1 (P) Air Sqn NCC, Puducherry held on 28th March 2024.
