The Department of English (UG) was chiseled out of Department of languages and established as a distinctive department conferred with B.A English Language and Literature in 2011. B.A English has a great demand as it allows the young mind to explore wide spectrum of English Literature, versatile cultures and lofty job opportunities. Instigating love for Literature is an essential part of parenting and teaching as it anchors human qualities. It inculcates LSRW skills and creates a lucrative career opportunity for students possessing good communication skill. The syllabus has been formulated in such a way to learn a diverse range of literature and literary forms of different periods. The program widens students’ creative, critical cum analytical skills. On the other hand, the programme enriches good communication skills and lucid writing skills by studying communication skills, writing skills, mass communication and Linguistics. English literature students find wide range of job opportunities besides pursing higher studies.
