Women Development Centre

The women centre has been organized to enlighten, to empower and to enrich the women. It constitutes to maintain a harmonious atmosphere at the institute, to enable women students to pursue their studies. The centre has been working to raise gender equality issues. This centre procure protection and ensure welfare of women.

Women Harassment Prevention Cell

As per the guideline of UGC, NAAC and the Supreme Court an Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell has been established by Saradha Gangadharan College to provide a healthy and congenial atmosphere for the staff and students of the college. In 2016, Women's Harassment Prevention Cell was established in our college. The college is committed to providing a work and study environment free of sexual harassment, intimidation, and exploitation for all women who fall under its jurisdiction, including academic and non-academic staff and students. Every woman has the right to be free of sexual harassment and to work in an environment free of sexual harassment in any form. The Women Harassment Prevention Cell of the SGC's main goal is to give guidelines for preventing sexual harassment and preserving the basic right to work with dignity, as well as to manage related complaints that are received or directed to the cell.

Employability Training Program

Every year many leading companies are conducting campus interviews to select candidates for placement. The students are to be trained to equip themselves to face interviews. Employability Training will accredit and enhance work-related activities, and develop and recognize general employability skills. It is primarily intended for students, who are not yet ready for employment but for whom getting a job is a reasonable aim within a matter of months. This training is providing required information and guidance in establishing and delivering a successful inputs for equipping themselves to meet the situations.

Our college has tied up with leading training organizations, which demonstrates significant commitment to enhance employability skills including self management, career knowledge, technical knowledge etc. The inputs of the training program will help the students to acquire positive attitude, aptitude skills, analytical skills, mastering group discussion techniques, interview skills etc.

The Placement Cell of Saradha Gangadharan College is set up with an aim to guide, train and prepares students to enhance their employability. The cell provides various career advancement avenues to the students, keeping in mind their career aspirations.

Objectives of Placement Cell

• To provide pre-placement training to the students and enable them to meet corporate expectations.
• To create awareness among students on available career options.
• To update the students about the current job trends.
• To act as a bridge between students and corporates.

Entrepreneurial Development Cell was started in SGC to promote entrepreneurship skills in the students and to create opportunities for self employment. The main objective of the cell is to align to the latest developments and set the bench mark to help tackling complex challenges in the life of the students with a paradigm shift in the evolutionary approaches.
Youngsters are being oriented towards business ventures and guided on the nuances of starting an enterprise. In order to achieve these objectives, EDC of our college is taking up the following activities under the EDC:

• Arranging inplant Training in their core subjects
• Arranging seminars by famous industrialists related to their subjects
• Conducting seminars/ workshops to understand financial activities, export business, legal and administrative matters for establishing an enterprise.

The main objective of sports club is to encourage students to pursue excellence in their chosen sports, providing them with the infrastructure facilities, environment and guidance in an elite manner. Sport Clubs offers a broad spectrum of activities for individuals and various interest groups in campus. Since 2005, the Department of physical education is encouraging the students to participate in various sports and games in international/ National/ University & state level. The department has been producing tremendous result in the sports and games.
