The Department of Commerce successfully conducted a Seminar titled “Career Opportunities in the Insurance Industry” on March 30, 2026 (Monday). In Session I, Mr. T. Dhayanidhi, Divisional Manager at Orient Insurance, Puducherry, delivered a lecture on “ Career Opportunities in GIC”. His lecture included the career paths available within the General Insurance Corporation, roles in administration, sales, customer relations, and management. He also emphasized the significance of insurance awareness and the necessity of professional training. In Session II, Mr. R.Rangaswamy, Divisional Officer at LIC and Chairman of PII, delivered a lecture on “Career Opportunities in LIC”. His lecture included the opportunities available in Life Insurance Companies, positions in risk management, underwriting, claims management, and marketing. He also encouraged students to pursue professional qualifications. The UG and PG Commerce Students were actively participated and they are very much benefited
