What you study?

The programme consists of a range of main and optional subjects. The main subjects consist of Corporate Financial Accounting, Accounting for Managerial Decisions, Corporate Tax Planning, Management Concepts, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Strategic Management, Corporate Legal Framework, Managerial Economics, Business Environment, Statistical Analysis, and Computer Application in Business & Economics. The optional subjects are specialization in Finance viz. Financial Institution and Markets, Project Planning & Control and Security Analysis & Portfolio Management.

Length: 2 years full-time with 4 semesters. The maximum duration to complete the course shall be 4 years.

Eligibility: Candidates who have passed in any one of the following or equivalent, are eligible to apply. B.Com / B.Com (Foreign Trade) / B.Com (Corporate Secretaryship) / BBA / BBM / B.Com (Co-op.) / B.Com. (Edn.) / B.Com. (Vocational) or any other B.Com streams having other specialization with a minimum of 50% marks (the minimum marks for some specified categories of students are applicable as notified by the Government of Pondicherry from time to time.)

Medium: The medium of instruction shall be English. Passing and Classification: The minimum of marks for passing and classification for the award of the M.Com Degree shall be as per the existing norms of other PG Degree courses of Pondicherry University offered in Affiliated Colleges.

Fees: Rs. 22,000/- per semester + one-time payment of Rs. 2,500/- will be collected.
