What you study?

The taught component of the degree normally takes two-year duration spread over four semesters. The first year of this degree, consisting of two semesters, introduces more advanced areas of Computer Science and is devoted to foundational computing and system design concepts. Some of the key areas are: Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Object Oriented System Design, Computer Architecture, Database Systems, Automata Theory & Computations, Data Communication Networks, Computer Graphics, Software Engineering Concepts, Cryptography & Network Security and Compiler Design.

Length: 2 years full-time with 4 semesters. The maximum duration to complete the course shall be 4 years.

Eligibility: Candidates who have secured 55% of marks or above in any one of the following or equivalent, are eligible to apply. Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Technology / Applications.

Medium: The medium of instruction shall be English.

Passing and Classification: The minimum of marks for passing and classification for the award of the M.Sc. (Computer Science) Degree shall be as per the existing norms of other PG Degree courses of Pondicherry University offered in Affiliated Colleges.

Fees: Rs. 22,000/- per semester + one-time payment of Rs. 2,500/- will be collected.
